The start of this trial is at Pico Alto, in the parking area for the vantage point. It is a single track, which goes through a wood of Japanese cedar, with fast areas and sharp bends. Use downhill or enduro bikes because the whole surface is of very soft earth, which adheres well when dry but is very slippery when wet. The trail ends at the old Pico Alto forest warden’s house.
